Hongdae is one of the most happening places in Seoul, South Korea. It is a college area filled with cafes, restaurants, bars, night clubs, indie and jazz clubs and eccentric stores you will not find anywhere else in Korea. This area has unique places to see and you could spend days exploring and not be disappointed or bored with your surroundings. There are many independently owned businesses that can only be found in Hongdae. The culture here is amazing because it has a very bohemian and indie feel to it. It's a haven for free spirits that love to support local businesses. You will definitely not be disappointed if you're looking for a place to party or even just to spend a quiet afternoon reading.
